The simultaneous appearance of the “senior K-Pop group” JUSTB and the “Japanese sensation” KID PHENOMENON at the 2nd performance of “Tan Binh Toan Nang” marked an important milestone for the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Successfully inviting representatives from two of the world's largest music markets (Korea and Japan) demonstrates the rising stature of Vietnamese reality TV shows within the regional entertainment landscape. JUSTB has been active in the K-Pop market for over four years, boasting extensive performance experience on major international stages like KCON Japan 2023, KCON LA Showcase 2023, and the 29th Dream Concert, among others. Since their debut, the group has released multiple EPs such as “JUSTBurn”, “JUSTBeat”, “JUSTBegun”, and “=”, with total sales reaching 150,000 copies, leaving many memorable marks on the music scene. JUSTB has earned prestigious awards, including the “Blooming Star Award” at the Hanteo Music Awards 2023 and 2024, and the “Rising Star Award” at the Korea Model Awards 2022. Discipline and professionalism: Key factors shaping the “all-round” idol generation

The appearance of special guest—Singer (S)TRONG Trong Hieu—provided the Promoted Rookies ("Tan Binh Thang Cap") with valuable professional insights, demonstrating a serious commitment to the sustainable development of the next generation of young artists who will carry forward and uphold the essence of Vietnamese artistry.

After just a brief trial performance, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu highlighted the critical issue of “ego” overshadowing teamwork: the members’ performances were too reliant on individual will and ability, leading to a chaotic and unsynchronized formation, rhythm, and choreography range. (S)TRONG stressed: “Everyone has their strengths, everyone has their unique qualities, but the biggest weakness is teamwork. You all lack the spirit to perform as one; everyone’s ego is quite high. I only watched for 15 seconds, but clearly saw everyone’s spirit, some confident, some not confident, some very timid. That won’t work; this is a group performance, the energy must be united.”

(S)TRONG offers candid advice: A group’s level is measured by the ability of its weakest member,” and “Practice until your body remembers every move without thinking.” Crucially, the Promoted Rookie Team ("Tan Binh Thang Cap") also represents Vietnam when interacting with international groups in the region, meaning the awareness of national responsibility must always be the highest priority: “Competing with international groups is genuinely intense. Rookie Duy Lan also admitted that (S)TRONG’s reminder was “a wake-up call” for the entire team to refocus for the 2nd performance: “During this period, we are going through many difficult challenges, which sometimes makes us forget that we are representatives and the ones bringing the colors of Vietnam to exchange with international friends. That is why, when Mr. (S)TRONG reminded us today, it was a wake-up call for us to regain our spirit and prepare thoroughly for this 2nd performance.”

The time spent talking with guest (S)TRONG and All-Round Producer SOOBIN significantly awakened a sense of deep responsibility in the Promoted Rookies ("Tan Binh Thang Cap"). They no longer trained as 11 distinct personalities but as one unified group carrying the position of representing the future of Vietnamese art. 2nd performance rules:

The 2nd performance consists of 2 rounds:

Round 1: The 2 international groups perform in turn; the Rookie group performs last. After that, the program will compare the Rookie group's score with the average vote score of the 2 international groups' performances (equivalent to the 100% challenge level mark) to find the result of success or failure in conquering the challenge level.

Round 2: All-Round Producer SOOBIN will secretly select 1 of the 2 international groups to compare scores with, based on the results of Round 1. After both international groups and the Rookie group have performed, the Rookie group’s score will be compared with the international group that All-Round Producer SOOBIN previously selected to determine the result of success or failure in conquering the challenge level.

2nd performance Challenge Levels and Privileges:

Achieve 90% or more of the international group's score: -3% challenge level for the next round

Achieve 100% or more of the international group's score: Unlock 1 debut position.

Achieve 115% or more of the international group's score: Unlock 2 debut positions.

Each challenge level can only be chosen once per round; if surpassed, the corresponding privilege is granted. If the challenge level is not achieved in Round 1, each Rookie loses 100 individual points. If the challenge level is not achieved in Round 2, the challenge level for Performance 3 is increased by +3%. At the end of the 2 rounds, the live audience votes for their 3 favorite Rookies; the number of audience votes for each Rookie becomes their individual score.

KID PHENOMENON kicked off the international exchange performance with “Unstoppable” and then their competition performance “Wheelie” (Round 1).

JUST continued the excitement with the song “Medusa” and their competition performance “Chest” (Round 1), affirming their high-quality and consistent precision honed through international stages. After the voting, the average score of the two formidable opponents officially set the milestone score for the Rookie group's Round 1 challenge at 511.5 points (equivalent to 100%).

Finally, as the Rookie members prepared to start the stage for Round 1 with the performance “Khong Can Noi Nhieu”, Cuong Bach and Swan Nguyen encountered microphone and in-ear monitor errors, leading to an unforeseen situation. The production team was forced to stop the music, and Swan Nguyen shared: “The music hadn't started yet, so Cuong and I rushed in. As soon as we stepped down the stairs, the music started. I asked and thought, should we run out? But if we run out now and the mic won’t let us sing, and we can't hear anything, what if Cuong and I dance out of sync?”

According to All-Round Producer SOOBIN, this was an instance of unprofessional handling and also a crucial lesson for the Rookies to continue honing their skills: “I think that was quite unprofessional. I believe once the music starts, there should be no excuses.”

Despite the rocky start in Round 1, the Promoted Rookie Team ("Tan Binh Thang Cap") proved their strenuous training was not in vain by delivering an excellent performance, earning acknowledgment from JUSTB and KID PHENOMENON for their impressive uniformity and synchronization. The final result was announced: the Promoted Rookie Team ("Tan Binh Thang Cap") officially surpassed the first Challenge threshold by 96.5%!

This honorable victory confirms the potential of Vietnamese Idols on the international stage and instills great hope and confidence in the entire team. However, the pressure remains extremely high. If the Rookie group cannot replicate this success in Round 2, the team still faces the scenario where the three members with the lowest individual scores will be frozen.
